Membership:
Membership is fairly inclusive as it provides for any person, organization or interested can apply for membership in one of 4 levels.
1) Individual Membership:
A person who is, or was, a member of one of the organizations listed below is deemed
to be eligible for individual membership of the Association:
The SA Armoured Corps or an armour related corps.
The SA National Defence Force or any related armed force, in a corps other than the
SA Armoured Corps, but who was attached to a unit or formation of the Corps.
The SA Armaments Industry, in either the public or private sector, or who shares the
objectives of the Association.
The armoured corps or cavalry of a foreign country which maintains friendly relations
with the Republic of South Africa
Any person, other than one of those mentioned above, who has an interest in Armour
and who associates himself or herself with the objectives of the Association is
also eligible for individual membership of the Association.
2) Unit Membership
Any SA Armoured Corps unit or armour affiliated unit, as well as the regimental or unit
councils, clubs, institutions or associations of such units, may apply for
Unit Membership and such membership may be granted by the National Council.
3) Corporate Membership
A business entity which subscribes to the objectives of the Association may, subject
to the approval of the National Council, be invited to become a Corporate Member.
4) Honorary Membership
Honorary Membership shall be limited to persons who are regarded to be friends of the
SA Armour Association and are deemed worthy of such an honour.
