Research Library
Adjacent to, and part of, the SA Armour Museum is the research library, which specializes in the gathering of information, documents, periodicals and books, which have an emphasis on armour warfare and equipment. The library's inventory also includes information on personnel and vehicles and an archive of books relating to the SAAC in particular.
The library is also able to respond to requests from around the world with regard to the equipment and history of the SAAC.
Lesakeng
"Lesakeng", meaning "the Corral for Old Horses", houses numerous tracked and wheeled armoured vehicles and others, mainly runners. The total structure as it stands was developed and constructed with the financial support received from private donors.
The display was officially opened on the 30 March 2001 but is seen as an ongoing process. Once funds become available, a concrete floor will be laid.
Hull-Down
"Hull-Down", which was officially taken into use on 2 September 1999, houses additional armour equipment and training aids which cannot be accommodated in the Museum Building due to space constraints.
"Hull-Down" is only opened on request and arrangements to view need to be made through the Curator.
